be curious, not judgemental
Exist as you are, that is enough. And in finding yourself, we can explore who you want to become.
the “therapist near me” you’ve been searching for
CARSON MCCARTHY, LPC

Asking “why am I like this?” is so human. It takes courage to wonder about ourselves and how we engage with the world around us.
Let’s get curious about your identity, your values, and your contradictions without needing neat answers or a finished version of yourself.
-
From the loud and obvious to the quiet and lingering, we’ll move toward healing in a way that actually feels doable and respectful of your experiences.
The goal is not just symptom reduction but rebuilding trust in yourself and in connection, expanding your capacity for joy, intimacy, and resilience. You’re not broken beyond repair. You’re healing, and you get to set the terms.
-
No fixing, no forcing. Just support that works with your brain whether you’re ADHD, autistic, or still putting the pieces together. Let’s work together to build habits and skills that work best for you.
-
A space where your identity doesn’t need explaining. We’ll just make room to explore, question, affirm, and exist as your full self in a world that still needs time to understand.
-
For when you’re questioning… everything.
“Who am I?” “What am I doing with my life?”
A space to slow down and sit with the deeper stuff. Meaning, purpose, identity, mortality, freedom- let’s gently explore what it all means for you without rushing to answers
A little about me (so it’s less awkard)
Hello!! My name is Carson. I’m a queer therapist based in Austin, and I care a lot about creating a space where you don’t have to shrink, explain, or translate yourself.
So many of us come into therapy already used to editing who we are. The urge to soften things or over-explain. The bracing to be misunderstood. My hope is that you don’t have to do that here. You can show up unsure, messy, talkative, quiet, or somewhere in between, and we’ll start from there.
Still wondering if I’m the right therapist for you? Check out my about page linked below!!
